It was built by the first president of Joo Nam University, the most prestigious university in Korea. SKY Castle, a private luxury condo community, where wealthy doctors and professors live. Consequently, in the process, they alienate their children and damage their relationships. They compete fiercely against each other, trying to outdo one another. As the story progresses, the strained relationships begin to cause mental harm. Another character, Lee Soo-im, asks why Seo-jin i s investigating Yeong. They conspire with Jin-hee to teach Su-im a lesson. The two main characters are a naughty boy named Lee Soo-im and his mother Lee Soo-im, who is a former student of Joo-young. The tragedy serves as a wake-up call, leading the women to re-evaluate their priorities and values. The characters are well-developed and have a good chemistry. This turns the females to question the extreme lengths they are willing to go to ensure their children's success. They don’t stop here and even go as far as doctoring their children's medical records to gain an unfair advantage.īut, the plot alters completely when one of the children commits suicide after failing to gain admission to the top university. The women resort to manipulating, pressuring, and seeking the help of expensive tutors. Each mother drives for their children's academic excellence to extreme lengths, without even considering their children's well-being. These include Korea: Seoul National University, Korea University, and Yonsei University which are highly coveted, and the competition for admission is intense. However, these ladies have a greater ambition which is to see their children enroll in the most prestigious universities. Their lives are filled with social events, luxurious homes, and the constant pursuit of prestige, success, and acceptance.
